Black Writers On Tour
Executive Statement
Black Writers on Tour is an organization that trains, educates and
motivates children, young adults, and adult black writers. We promote and assist author in
their literary career.
Our focus is to increase literary awareness and participation in the
Literary Arts for African Americans.
We will assist in the preservation of African American culture via
helping African Americans tell their stories.
Mission Statement
Our mission and goals with Black Writers on Tour are:
To help African American children, young adults and adults cultivate their writing
skills.
To assist aspiring writers in getting their work published and into the market place.
To give more visibility and increase book sales for the self published author and the
small independent publisher via showcasing their works nationwide by exhibiting and
participating in writer=s conferences, expos and
related conventions, and cooperative advertising.
To showcase children who write, in schools to encourage children and young adults to
read and write.
To promote literacy and to foster the desire for reading among African Americans.
To promote excellence and professionalism for self published authors and small
independent publishers via seminars and workshops.
To offer professional referral services for the following: editing,
proofing, formatting, graphic designs, and printing.
