In the late 1950s, a 20-year-old,
light-complexioned Black Detroiter, Ray, is torn between two
loves–a lovely Black preacher's daughter, and a glamorous white
student in his college class. After an adventuresome night at a
cabaret, a sense of racial pride is re-awakened in Ray.
This novel will give you much to think about concerning race
relations and self-love.
